Acne is a common skin condition that can affect people across the lifespan. It can vary in degree in severity, and can occur on the face, neck, chest, and back. Lesions can range from blackheads, whiteheads, and deeper cystic lesions. If not properly treated it runs the risk of pain, permanent scarring, pigmentation, redness, and effects on self-esteem and confidence. Early treatment and ongoing management is integral to help reduce and prevent these complications. This is why we developed our acne program.

When clients book in for acne management at Lumina MD, they have the benefit of having their case appropriately assessed, alongside comprehensive treatment recommendations under the guidance of our physician and nurses.

What Will My Experience Be Like?
Your clear-skin journey starts with a thorough consultation. We take the time to really understand your skin by performing a detailed acne assessment, looking at the type of acne present, its severity, and the factors that may be contributing to it. From there, we build a personalized treatment strategy tailored specifically to your skin’s needs.

You’ll receive a customized home-care routine. Your products are selected to suit your skin type and to work alongside your in-clinic treatments, helping support healing and improve results between visits. Prescriptions are available if and when your provider may see benefit.

Throughout the program, we schedule regular follow-ups to track your progress. These appointments give us the opportunity to adjust your plan when needed and address any concerns along the way, so you feel supported and confident during every stage of your acne treatment.
